Opening it the first time

The game isn't signed with a paid certificate yet, so your computer asks once whether you trust it. After that it opens normally.

Windows

  1. Right-click SpellRiot-windows.zip and choose Extract All.
  2. Open the extracted folder and double-click SpellRiot.exe.
  3. If a blue box says “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway.

Mac

  1. Open SpellRiot-mac.zip (Safari usually unzips it for you) and drag the game into Applications.
  2. Double-click it once. macOS says it can't check the app: click Done (or OK).
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway, then confirm with your password.

Mac builds are not notarized by Apple yet; this step is needed only once.

Play online

  1. In the game, open GAME MODES and press PLAY ONLINE.
  2. Type your name and the server address: server address coming soon
  3. One player presses CREATE ROOM and shares the room code.
  4. Everyone else types the code and presses JOIN. The host picks the mode and map and presses START.

Up to 6 wizards per match. Friends can WATCH a match that's already under way. You can also play on one computer with Hot Seat.
